This procurement is subject to the Canadian Free Trade Agreement and the Canadian Shipbuilding, Repair, Refit and Modernization Policy. The sourcing strategy relating to this procurement will be limited to suppliers in Canada in accordance with the Shipbuilding, Repair, Refit and Modernization Policy. *** The Department of National Defense has a requirement for (16) 7.25 meter high performance Special Operations (SO) Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RIBs) with trailers that support the utility, seamanship and marshalling needs of HMC Ships. The boats are to be delivered to Canadian Forces Supply Depot Montreal (6) and Canadian Forces Supply Depot Edmonton (10). As the SO RIBs will embark on and disembark from HMC Ships, it is essential and mandatory that the SO RIBs hull and lift configuration be constructed to accommodate HMC Ship’s cradle, davit and hoisting for seamless launch and recovery evolutions at sea and in harbour.
