Request for Information (RFI)

This Request for Information (RFI) is to seek feedback from industry on the DRAFT Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for the release of a final RFP.

Respondents are requested to provide any feedback, comments or concerns they may have to the DRAFT Request for Proposal or any of its Annex.

This document is not a bid solicitation. This Request for Information (RFI) will not result in the award of any contract. As a result, potential suppliers of any goods or services described in this RFI should not reserve stock or facilities, nor allocate resources, as a result of any information contained in this RFI. Nor will this RFI result in the creation of any source list.

The procurement of any goods or services described in this RFI will not necessarily follow this RFI.

Nature of Requirement

The Department of National Defence’s (DND) Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) is searching for innovative ways they can adopt novel technologies, practices and operations to become more efficient and secure. Some of the areas of interests are Digital Twining and Simulation, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity. In order to ensure these technologies, practices and operations are sufficient to meet current and future fleet requirements, robust testing and evaluations on vessels must be done in close proximity to the existing fleet, and which enable rapid experimenting to enable evaluations to keep pace with technological evolutions.
