W6898-200451/A Young (MCT), Leesa Telephone No. - (506) 871-1716 Fax No. - (506) 851-6759 This procurement is targeted to Canadian Black owned or led small businesses. It is part of a pilot program by Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) that will inform the expanded use of targeted approaches to increase diversity in future procurements and support opportunity and economic growth for Black Canadians. Should a compliant bid not be received from a Canadian Black owned or led small business, bids from other companies will be considered. The Federal Government pledged to address systemic racism, and committed to do so in a way informed by the lived experiences of racialized communities and Indigenous Peoples. The Federal Government invested in economic empowerment through the Black Entrepreneurship Program, and is redoubling its efforts by going further on economic empowerment through increasing supplier diversity in procurement. Public Works & Government Services Canada (PWGSC) is exploring opportunities to undertake social procurement which creates greater inclusiveness and opportunities for participation by underrepresented groups in federal government procurement. The group currently included in this requirement is small businesses owned or led by Black Canadians. PWGSC will assess these pilot procurements to inform the expanded use of targeted approaches to increasing diversity in future procurements in order to support greater inclusion and representation, and support opportunity and economic growth for Black Canadians. The requirement is subject to a preference for services provided by small businesses owned or led by Black Canadians as described in this solicitation. REQUIREMENT: Service Contract - Pumping and Cleaning of Grease Interceptors 5 CDSB Gagetown and training area, Oromocto, N.B. The work covered under this Service Contract includes the provision of all labour, materials, tools and equipment required to provide the following for 5 CDSB Gagetown, Oromocto, NB when requested and as specified herein: .1 pump out grease interceptors; .2 clean waste residue from interceptors; .3 transport and dispose of waste residue off Base to an approved location; and .4 report any damage or potential problems with the interceptors to Engineer. All work is to be completed in accordance with the Specification Number L-G2-9900/1839 forming part of the bid document. The Service Contract is from April 1st, 2021 to March 31, 2022, with an option to renew for two additional one year periods. Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond. Firm intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain tender documents through the Government Electronic Tendering System (GETS). Addenda, when issued, will be available on GETS. Standard terms and conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference, and form part of the tender and contract documents.
