COVID-19 vaccines are a critical tool that reduce the risk of COVID-19 and protect broader public health. As a responsible employer, the Government of Canada is committed to protecting the health and safety of its employees. On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced its Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. https://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/pol/doc-eng.aspx?id=32694 In alignment with this important measure, all supplier personnel (including subcontractor personnel) who access federal government workplaces will also be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This requirement will enter into effect on November 15, 2021. *********************************************************************** Operational Inspections & Repairs of Chilling Unit and Cooling Tower System Department of National Defence (DND), CFB Gagetown, Oromocto, New Brunswick has a requirement for the furnishing of all labour, material, tools and equipment required to provide bi-annual inspections and repairs of the chiller units and cooling towers at various buildings, CFB Gagetown, Oromocto, New Brunswick. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: -Start up, shut down and maintenance of chillers and cooling tower systems; -Provision of a written report after each inspection on condition of equipment indicating: Any recommendations for repairs or changes the Contractor considers necessary to ensure optimum operation of the equipment; any safety hazards including the urgency for correction; and a copy of any service logs, leak reports or annual leak certificates; -Any repairs or adjustments as authorized by the Engineer. All work is to be completed in accordance with the Specification Number L-G2-9900/1860 forming part of the bid document. The Service Contract is from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023, with options to renew for two additional one year periods. Note: The Contractor will be required to provide the following certifications prior to commencing work in accordance with the service contract: - Covid 19 Vaccination Certification, as per included clauses - Federal Halocarbon Regulations, 2003 Para. 1 Certificate (HRAI Card); - New Brunswick Regulations 97-132, Article 21 (1), as defined in 97-125 Annex C, 52 (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic License); - Proof of Technician's current manufacturers' training on McQuay, Trane and York Chillers. - All Arena Ice Plant work will be performed by a certified Refrigeration Technician(s) with 3 years proven experience with Arena Ammonia Ice Plants. Proof of Certification is to be provided to the Engineer prior to award of contract.
