    Requirement:
    To carry out the alongside replacement of the two main engines, gearboxes and ancillary equipment of the Canadian Coast Guard Vessel CCGS Traverse in accordance with the associated technical information as detailed in Annex A - Statement of Work.
    
    Bidders' Conference:
    A bidders' conference call will be held on May 25, 2021 at 13:00PM (EDT).

    The scope of the requirement outlined in the bid solicitation will be reviewed during the conference and questions will be answered. It is recommended that bidders who intend to submit a bid attend or have a representative.
    
    Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority before the conference to confirm attendance. Bidders should provide to the Contracting Authority, by email to Jessica.blackburn@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca, the name(s) of the person(s) who will be attending no later than May 21, at 4PM (EDT). Without confirmation, the bidders’ conference could be cancelled.
    
    Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the bidders' conference will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation. Bidders who do not attend will not be precluded from submitting a bid.
    
    Site Visit - Vessel:
    Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, no site visit of the ship is planned for this requirement. 
    
    Work Period:
    
    Commence: February 1, 2022 
    Complete: March 31, 2022
    
    Additional Instructions to Work Period:
    The vessel will be unmanned during the work period and will be considered to be out of commission. The vessel during that period will be in the care and custody of the Contractor and under its control.
    Destination: The work shall be carried out at the CCG Base in Kenora at 1100 3rd Avenue South, Kenora, Ontario.
    
    Sourcing Strategy:
    The sourcing strategy related to this procurement will be limited to suppliers in Eastern Canada Region, in accordance with the Shipbuilding, Refit, Repair and Modernization Policy, and is subject to the Canadian Free Trade Agreement. 
    
    This procurement is exempt from NAFTA [see Chapter 10, Annex 1001.2b, paragraph 1 (a)] and from the WTO-AGP (see Annex 4).
    The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
