Transport Canada has a requirement for inspection services to be conducted at the Ship Recycling Facility responsible for the dismantling of the vessel during the preparation of the MV Madeleine Ferry for ship breaking and the ship breaking. The inspection services must be completed in accordance with Annex A - Statement of Requirement. 

The Ship Recycling Facility responsible for the dismantling of the vessel is Marine Recycling Corporation. The facility is located in Sydport, Nova Scotia. 

The inspection services must commence at contract award. The inspection services will be required until the transfer of ownership of the vessel to the Marine Recycling Corporation. The transfer of ownership of the vessel is planned for December 1, 2021. Date will be confirmed as the Work progresses but will not exceed March 31, 2022.

The epost Connect service provided by Canada Post Corporation must be used by suppliers to transmit their bid electronically. Bidders must refer to Part 2 entitled Bidder Instructions and Part 3 of the RFSA entitled Arrangement Preparation Instructions for further information on using this method.

The Phased Bid Compliance Process applies to this requirement.
