    Nature of Requirements: 
    
    The Canadian Coast Guard has a requirement for two (2) Anchor Chains made up of six (6) shots of 15/16 inch in diameter stud link chain with a steel grade of U2, with one (1) swivel assembly. One (1) shot equals ninety feet (90 ft). Each shot of chain must be connected to the adjoining shot with a Kenter Joining Shackle. The Anchor Chain swivel assembly must be assembled as specified in the Statement of Requirement, Article 6   Swivel Assembly Requirement, which must be connected at one end of the chain with a Kenter Joining Shackle.
    
    All shots of Grade U2 chain cable and all fittings are to be stamped with unique identifier as indicated in the Statement of Requirement, Article 7   Deliverables, Sub article a.   Identification.
    
    The requirement is subject to CFTA and NAFTA.
    
    Delivery date required:  by February 15th, 2019.

    Mandatory Technical Criteria (MC)
    
    a  Bidder must have supplied at least one (1) Marine Anchor Chain for a vessel of at least 15/16 of an
        inch diameter in the last two (2) years.
    
    b  Each test certificate is to include the following particulars for all items included on the certificate:
    
    Manufacturer’s name, Purchaser’s name and order number, Description and actual dimensions, Grade of chain cable and fittings, Identification mark which will enable the full history of the chain or fitting to be traced, Chemical composition, Details of heat treatment, Mechanical test results, Breaking test load, Proof load.
    
    Financial Evaluation: 
    
    The price of the bid will be evaluated in Canadian dollars, Applicable Taxes excluded; Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) destination, Canadian customs duties and excise taxes included.
    
    Basis of Selection - Mandatory Technical Criteria
    
    A bid must comply with the requirements of the bid solicitation and meet all mandatory technical evaluation criteria to be declared responsive. The responsive bid with the lowest evaluated price will be recommended for award of a contract.
