    LETTER OF INTEREST AND PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC MARINE KNUCKLE BOOM CRANES (KB CRANES) WITH ASSOCIATED ENGINEERING PACKAGES, STRIP-OUT OF EXISTING CRANES AND THE INTEGRATION AND INSTALLATION OF THE KB CRANES FOR THE CANADIAN COAST GUARD (CCG) 1200 CLASS VESSELS.

    The purposes of this Letter of Interest and Pre-Qualification (LOI&Q) are to provide to the Industry information on the project, determine Industry’s interest and pre-qualify Marine Knuckle Boom Crane Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) interested to bid on the 1200 Class type Canadian Coast Guard Ship (CCGS) existing cranes replacement project.
    The procurement will consist in the supply of new Class approved Electro Hydraulic Marine KB Cranes with their individual design and engineering packages required for the strip-out of the existing cranes and their Class approved vessel’s integrations and installations.
    The procurement will also include the strip-out of the existing cranes with their related equipment and the integration and installation of the KB Cranes on board the four (4) 1200 Class CCG Vessels tied up alongside at the CCG Bases.
    The intended procurement would be for an initial order of four (4) KB Cranes for the CCGS Amundsen with optional orders of four (4) KB Cranes for the CCGS Des Groseilliers, (4) KB Cranes for the CCGS Pierre Radisson and three (3) KB Cranes CCGS Henry Larsen, all in accordance with the Annex ‘’A’’ Statement of Works (SOW) which provides the technical details on the intended procurement.
    This procurement will be subject to provisions of the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Canada Free Trade Agrement (CFTA) and Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
    The interested OEM’s must demonstrate to Canada’s satisfaction that they meet, for both scentrios, all mandatory evaluation criteria stated in the LOI&Q before November 14 2018 - 02:00 pm EST in order to qualify for the Phase II, Request for Proposal (RFP).
