    Canada is seeking letters of interest (LOI) from interested suppliers, having the capacity and availability to provide the services, for the supply and installation of temporary housing units for the accommodation of persons on behalf of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) in St-Bernard-de-Lacolle. 
    
    The purpose of this posting is to list suppliers who would be interested in obtaining a copy of future bid solicitations for the type of goods or services identified in the requirements described below. 
    
    Canada may, in its sole discretion, decide to communicate or solicit bids only from suppliers who have responded to this LOI.
    
    
    Suppliers may provide suggestions and comments in connection with the required below. 
    
    THIS LETTER OF INTEREST (LOI) IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND NO CONTRACT WILL RESULT FROM IT.
    
    
    
    A.1 Brief description of goods and services required
    
    Two types of facilities will be provided for the establishment of a turnkey service to temporarily house approximately five hundred and twenty (520) persons.
    
    Tents:
    These facilities will consist of heated, ventilated and illuminated heated canvas shelters for 3-season use meeting the requirements of Section 3.1.6 Tents and Inflatable Structures of the 2015 National Building Code.
    
    The tents must mainly house the following areas:
    
    - sleeping areas (dormitories);
    - Space for reception and distribution center;
    - Security space;
    - Spaces for related services (warehousing).
    
    Isolated modular structures:
    These facilities will consist of insulated, ventilated and illuminated insulated modular structures for 3 season use and meeting the requirements of Part 9 of the 2015 National Building Code.
    
    Modular structures should mainly house the following spaces:
    - Isolation (quarantine)
    - Sanitary services (toilets, sinks and showers)
    
    Other elements to provide:
    - Site development (leveling, perimeter fencing and lighting);
    - The maintenance of landscaping;
    - Take note that the site has no rainwater drainage and sanitary infrastructure and drinking water supply. The proposed facilities must therefore be self-sustaining in these respects. The supplier must provide, install and maintain a complete drinking water supply network and a complete sanitary drainage network;
    - Electricity connection and generator supply;
    
    A.2 Timeline
    
    The installations must be completed in 2 phases. Phase 1 must be completed and operational four(4) weeks after contract award and Phase 2 must be completed three (3) weeks after the first phase is commissioned.
    
    The duration of the services could go up to a period of one (1) year, following the putting into operation of the installations with possibility of period (s) of extension.
