    PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
    
    Major upgrading works on the 18 elevators of Guy-Favreau Complex
    are required to extend their useful life, ensure the comfort and
    safety of users, and reduce maintenance costs to an acceptable
    level. The works includes, without limitations, all existing
    elevators, elevator control panels, equipment hooked to the fire
    alarm panel, elevator shafts, mechanical rooms, penthouse,
    engine generators, generator set, regular and emergency
    electrical power, hoistway, elevator cab finishes, cab control
    panels, security cameras and access control, etc. The work
    equally includes the expansion of one elevator and related
    installations, repairs to the electrical power supply of
    firefighter elevators and temporary work to ensure the security
    and functionality of operations during the work.  Architectural,
    structural, mechanical and electrical works are projected.
    
    
    		SECURITY RELATED REQUIREMENTS
    
    	At bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid Security Clearance
    as indicated in section SC01 of the Supplementary Conditions.
    Failure to comply with this requirement will render the Bid
    non-compliant and no further consideration will be given to the
    Bid.
    
    It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
    Bidder visit the work site.  Arrangements have been made for a
    tour of the work site.  The site visit will be held on February
    24, 2015, at  2:00pm at the main entrance of the Guy-Favreau
    Complex, 200 Boul René-Lévesque Ouest, Montréal, Qc, at the
    security office.  Bidders who do not attend or send a
    representative will not be given an alternative appointment but
    they will not be precluded from submitting a bid.  Any
    clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from
    the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid
    solicitation.
    
    
    The estimated cost for this opportunity is between: more than 5M
    $.
