Trade Agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Attachment: YES (MERX) Electronic Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Renovations to elevators # 1 to 4 and freight elevator # 7 at 715 Peel in Montreal. (refer to technical specification - PDF file) The project consists of the renovations to elevators #1 thru 4 as well as freight elevator #7. As shown in the plans in specifications the work can be summarized as follows: Replace the controllers with a state of the art system in order to provide a smoother and faster service ; Replace all cables ; Replace all wiring within pits and elevator room ; Replace all cab doors with their operating systems; Replace all doors at floor stops with their operating systems; Replace all control panels within elevator cabs to comply with code B44, 2007; Replace on all floors the call buttons and controls within the cab for freight elevator #7. Replace the DC motor by a AC motor for freight elevator #7. Replace speed controlers; Tune all lifting equipment ; Restore and adjust all roller guides from the cabs with their counter weights ; Provide new emergency breaking to cables in order to conform them to current code standards ; Replace main control panel at ground floor and add a new ELink station in order to monitor the operations of all 5 elevators ; Bring to current code standards the emergency recall button for elevator #7 ; Refurbish the interior cab finishes for elevators #1 thru #4 (#7 remains as is); Provide protection curtains for all 5 elevators complete with all wall support pins; Program and make operable all systems in order to assure complete operation of all 5 elevators. OPTIONAL SITE VISIT: A site visit will take place on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Interested bidders are to meet at the security checkpoint of the building: 715 Peel in Montreal.
