    ADDENDUM 01: The purpose of this addendum is to attach the plans that are referenced in the solicitation documents.

    Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) is issuing this request for construction work for the  restoration of the lighthouse located in Port-Daniel Ouest, located at Port-Daniel-Gascons (Quebec).
    
    Summary of work:
    The restoration is meantto recover the esthetic of the building and a safe use of the existing facilities. Main interventions consist of restoration of openings, steel components and surface coating of the building (indoor and outdoor).The work also include concrete repairs.Location, extent and nature of the work are shown in Contract Drawings available in the solicitation documentsattached. The concrete work shown on plan are schematically represented and must be precisely delimitated on site by the Departmental Representative, prior to the beginning of the work.
    
    Optional site visit:
    It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at the lighthouse Phare Port-Daniel Westlocated in the Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madelaine county (Quebec) on Thursday August 25th 2016. The details related to the accessibility of the site are indicated in the specifications under section 01 11 00, paragraph 1.4.The site visit will begin at 10:00AM (EDT). 
    
    Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than Tuesday August 23rd 2016, 5:00PM (EDT) to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visitwill be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
    
    There is no security requirement related to this work.
    
    Delivery: The work must be completed within 8 weeks following contract award.
