Trade Agreement: NONE Tendering Procedures: Suppliers on permanent list or able to meet qualification requirements Attachment: None Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: EE517-141700/A Maintenance elevators - Base de Québec "Only bids from contractors whose name is on the List of Pre-Qualified Elevator Maintenance Contractors for the following categories of equipment: "electric elevators, hydraulic elevators and elevators for disabled persons" for the province of Québec will be considered for this solicitation." "A contractor whose name is not on the List of Pre-qualified Elevating Devices Maintenance Contractors may apply for pre-qualification. Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) will publish a Letter of Interest (LOI) on the Government Electronic Tendering Service once a year to invite contractors to pre-qualify against one or more categories of equipment in the specified geographic areas. It takes approximately three months from the time the LOI is published to complete the pre-qualification process. Contractors who are successful will be added to the List of Pre Qualified Elevating Devices Maintenance Contractors and will be eligible to bid on future solicitations for Elevating Devices Maintenance Contracts. All enquiries concerning the pre qualification process must be sent by fax to (819) 956-3160 and addressed to PWGSC, Regional Operations Support and Commodity Management Division, Real Property Contracting Directorate." WORK DESCRIPTION: To provide Long Term Elevating Device maintenance service . The Contractor shall provide all necessary tools, equipment, materials, labours, inspection, testing, software updates and/or upgrades. The elevators to be maintained are: Two (2) Grip Gear Passenger elevators from Armor (Controller: Northon) One (1) Grip Gear Passenger elevator from Otis (Controller: Otis) One (1) Hydraulic handicap elevator from Savaria-Concord (Controller: Savaria) One (1) Hydraulic Service elevator from Montgomery (Controller: Montgomery For Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) for the elevators located at 101 Boulevard Champlain, Québec, QC, G1K 7Y7 The period of any resulting contract will be for a period of five (5) years. This procurement is subject to SECURITY REQUIREMENTS. Optional Site Visit It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a tour of the work site. The site visit will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 09:00 am at the main entrance, visitors must register at the station commissioner at 101 boul. Champlain, Quebec, QC, G1K 7Y7 Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority two (2) days before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
