Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: TITLE : Roofing, Cowansville PROJECT ADDRESS : 400, rue Fordyce, Cowansville, (Québec), J2K 3G6 CLIENT / USER : Correctional Services Canada (CSC). DESCRIPTION: The work covered by this contract includes the replacing of 6 building roofs at the Cowansville Medium penitentiary facility in Cowansville. The main works included in the project are: replacement of the waterproofing complex on 6 building’s roof, for a total area of +/- 10,500 m2, temporary relocation of roofing equipment, replacement of certain mechanical units, new and replacement of roof hatches and ladders, new guardrails and walkways. Two buildings are located outside the fenced perimeter of the penitentiary, and four buildings are located in the exterior yard, within the secure perimeter. CALENDAR : The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within 80 working days from the date of contract award. OPTIONAL SITE VISIT : There will be an optional site visit on September 26th, 2018 at 10h30. Contractors who wish to attend the bidders’ visit must complete the "Institutional Access" form, sign it and send it within 5 days prior to the visit to the following email address: 350-ST-Formulaire@CSC-SCC.GC.CA Interested bidders must present themselves at, 400, rue Fordyce, Cowansville, (Québec), J2K 3G6. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS NIL security screening required as there is no access to sensitive information or assets. Contractor personnel will be escorted in specific areas of the institution/site as and where required by Correctional service Canada personnel or those authorized by CSC on its behalf. CSC has developed very stringent internal policies to insure that the security of institutional operations is not compromised. Contractor personnel shall submit to a local verification of identity/information through an authorized use of the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) and must adhere to institutional requirements for the conduct of searches by Correctional Service Canada, prior to admittance to the institution/site. Correctional Service Canada reserves the right to deny access to any institution/site or part thereof of any Contractor personnel, at any time.
