Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC ) - Environmental Services (ES) has been retained by the Department of National Defence (DND) to manage the remediation of Perfluorinated Compounds (PFC) in groundwater by filtration using a removal technology demonstration of Granular Activated Carbon and Ion Exchange and discharging treated groundwater to the groundwater via an infiltration gallery at DND 4 Wing in Cold Lake, Alberta. Two GAC types will be used in parallel for this research project.  The contractor will be tasked with building the physical treatment system including the infiltration gallery and operating and maintaining equipment while the system is being run by the PSPC Departmental Representative.  Groundwater wells are already constructed and working on site.  All Work to be completed in accordance to the specifications and in compliance with all relevant Codes, Guidelines, Standards, Criteria, Acts and Regulations. 
Value of Project:  To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between:  

Category 4 - $500,001 and $ 1,000,000
