THIS SOLICITATION HAS SECURITY REQUIREMENTS

Solicitation - W6889-210112/A Airfield Grass Cutting & Vegetation Control

For the Department of National Defence, provide all labour, supervision, materials, tools, fuel, travel expenses and equipment to conduct Airfield Grass Cutting and Vegetation Control operations to include wide area mowing, small commercial mowing, and hand held mechanical trimming for all trimming of all areas located in and around the General Restricted Area (GRA) of the Garrison Petawawa Heliport (approximately 150 acres of combined grass surfaces).

The period of the Contract is from date of award to 31 March 2024 with the irrevocable option to extend the period of the contract by one (1) additional seven (7) month period from 1 April 2024 to 31 October 2024.

The active grass cutting season is from 15 April to 15 October each year. This is an annual service contract to be invoiced over six (6) months from May to October for each year including the one (1) additional option period.
 
This procurement is targeted to Canadian Black owned or led small businesses. It is part of a pilot program by Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) that will inform the expanded use of targeted approaches to increase diversity in future procurements and support opportunity and economic growth for Black Canadians. Should a compliant bid not be received from a Canadian Black owned or led small business, bids from other companies will be considered. 

The requirement is subject to a preference for services provided by small businesses owned or led by Black Canadians as described in this solicitation.
