Trade Agreement: CETA / CFTA Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: This notice Amendment is to extend the bid closing from April 19th, 2018 at 2PM to April 24th, 2018 at 2PM. ***************************************************************** PROJECT IDENTIFICATION: R.093575.002 - Library of Parliament - Replacement of Exterior Roof Catwalk Library of Parliament, 111 Wellington Street, Ottawa, Ontario Project description: Public Services and Procurement Canada requires the services of a contractor to replace the following: The Library of Parliament exterior roof catwalk is a critical access way for any activity required on the roof of the Library. It is mostly used by building service technicians involved with supporting the functionality of the library. The wood structure has degraded over the years since the catwalk’s installation in 2006 and is now in need of replacement. It has been determined that the best material for replacement is Fiber Reinforced Plastic. Work is to be completed within Fifteen (15) weeks after contract award. MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT: The Contractor personnel requiring access to secure work site(s) must, at all times during the performance of the Contract, EACH hold a valid SITE ACCESS Clearance, granted or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). OPTIONAL SITE VISIT: There will be a site visit on Wednesday April 11, 2018 at 10am. Interested bidders shall meet outside, at the security guards desk located on the left side of the Peace tower on the ground level, at the front entrance of the Center Block Building at 111 Wellington Street, Ottawa, Ontario. Due to the nature of the requirement and in order to gain access to the building, all bidders must submit the name (legal name) and date of birth of each individual that will be attending the site visit. This information is to be submitted to the Contracting Authority by email at the following email address: jasmin.michaud@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca no later than April 6th, 2018 at 3:00 pm, as this information must be verified and confirmed through CISD. You will only be advised if a name is provided and CANNOT access the site visit, if no response is sent back to you, it confirms that the individual has the proper clearance to participate. It is the responsibility of the bidders to ensure that the Contracting Authority is in receipt of this information by the date and time specified. All contractor personnel/individuals that bidders plan on sending to attend the site visit must be cleared prior to attending. No personnel/individuals will be permitted to access the site without the required clearance. Safety Attire - Those wanting to access the Catwalk MUST wear a SAFETY HARNESS and demonstrate a proof that they have successfully completed a WORKING AT HEIGHTS training. Amendments, when issued, will be available from the same government electronic tendering service.
