R.094019.002 - High Humidity Level Remediation
Food Production Facility - 1170 Algoma Road, Ottawa, Ontario

Project description:  Built in 2009, the Food Production Facility located at 1170 Algoma Road is an industrial kitchen and food production centre. The building has experienced operational and tenant services issues since it opened in 2009 relating to the elevated levels of humidity of the indoor air, resulting in standing/pooled water, heavy condensation on interior surfaces and odour issues coinciding with ventilation issues. In order to address these issues, the following project perform, but not limited to, the following activities:  install an in-line fan to deliver make-up air extracted from the supply air ductwork to the dishwashing room, re-assess ventilation requirements and re-balance air flows, modify supply air temperatures, install a refrigerant based dehumidification coil in fresh air stream to dehumidify outdoor air before mixing it with return air, install strategically placed ceiling mounted recirculation fans, install electric reheat coils in VAV boxes and re-commission the system.
Work is to be completed within sixteen (16) weeks after contract award. 

MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT:  
 
At bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid Desiganted Organisation Screening (DOS), issued by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC). Failure to comply with this requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no further consideration will be given to the Bid.

The Contractor personnel requiring access to secure work site(s) must, at all times during the performance of the Contract, EACH hold a valid SITE ACCESS Clearance, granted or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government  Services Canada (PWGSC).

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:  

There will be a site visit on Friday May 18th, 2018 at 2PM.  Interested bidders shall meet, at the main entrance of the Food Production Facility at 1170 Algoma Road, Ottawa, Ontario.

Safety Attire - No safety attire necessary.

Due to the nature of the requirement and in order to gain access to the building, all bidders must submit the name (legal name) and date of birth of each individual that will be attending the site visit. 

This information is to be submitted to the Contracting Authority by email at the following email address: jasmin.michaud@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca no later than May 15th, 2018 at noon, as this information must be verified and confirmed through the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD).

To gain access for the site visit, all visitors must hold a valid security clearance at RELIABILITY level, issued by CISD, Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC).

You will only be advised if a name is provided and CANNOT access the site visit, if no response is sent back to you, it confirms that the individual has the proper clearance to participate. 
It is the responsibility of the bidders to ensure that the Contracting Authority is in receipt of this information by the date and time specified. All contractor personnel/individuals that bidders plan on sending to attend the site visit must be cleared prior to attending. No personnel/individuals will be permitted to access the site without the required clearance.
