    PROJECT IDENTIFICATION:   
     
    EP788-221409 - Confederation Building - Confederation Rooftop Ladders
    229 Wellington St, Ottawa, Ontario
    
    Project description:  Replace  the rooftop ladders (remove old, build and install new) on the cooper roof of the Confederation Building.  Refer to drawings and specifications for exact scope of work.
    Work is to be completed within 35 Weeks after contract award. 
    
    MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT:  
    
    1.  The Contractor must, at all times during the performance of the Contract, hold a valid Facility Security Clearance at the level of SECRET, issued by the Contract Security Program (CSP), Public Works and Government Services (PWGSC).
    
    2.  The Contractor personnel requiring access to sensitive site(s) must EACH hold a valid personnel security screening at the level of SECRET, granted or approved by the CSP, PWGSC.
    
    3.  Subcontracts which contain security requirements are NOT to be awarded without the prior written permission of the CSP, PWGSC.
    
    4.  The Contractor must comply with the provisions of the:
    
    a)  Security Requirements Check List and security guide (if applicable), attached at Annex A;
    
    b)  Contract Security Manual (Latest Edition).
    
    COVID-19 VACCINATION REQUIREMENT AND CERTIFICATION
    
    This requirement is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Supplier Personnel. All Bidders must provide with their bid, the COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement Certification attached to this bid solicitation (Appendix 5),
    
    This Certification incorporated into the bid solicitation on its closing date is incorporated into, and forms a binding part of any resulting Contract. Failure to complete and provide the COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement Certification as part of the bid will render the bid non-responsive.
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
    
    There will be a site visit on 06/01/2022 at 10:00am. Interested bidders are to meet at the main entrance of 229 Wellington St.
    
    Safety Attire - In order to be guaranteed access to the site all persons should have the proper personal protection equipment (safety glasses, footwear, vests and hard hats etc.). Contractor`s personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire may be denied access to the site.
    
    Security pre-screening: All the individuals attending the site visit must hold a security clearance of Secret. The names of each individual attending the site visit, their date of birth, along with the name of the firm they represent, should be provided to the Contracting Authority by 23/12/2021 at 2:00pm in order to gain access to the site.
    
    This site visit is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Supplier Personnel. The person(s) who attend must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or, for personnel that are unable to be vaccinated due to a certified medical contraindication, religion or other prohibited grounds of discrimination under the Canadian Human Rights Act, subject to accommodation and mitigation measures that have been presented to and approved by Canada.

    Amendments, when issued, will be available from the same government electronic tendering service.
    
    Firms that elect to base their bids on bid documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the bid calling authority of their intention to bid.
