Brief Description:
CORCAN - Correctional Service of Canada  has a requirement to procure Inmate Safety Boots. 

The successful bidder will supply Canada for Correctional Service of Canada with Safety Boots in accordance with the Annex A - Requirement, Annex B Technical Specifications-Purchase Description CAG-2-1407-356G,  Annex C, CSA Labeling and testing results/Laboratory Testing the sample and pictures. 

Pre-award samples and supporting documentation: 
One (1) pre-award sample of the safety boots, test results and certificates of compliance must be submitted at time of bid closing at no charge to Canada, at the location indicated in the Request for Proposal. 
The test results and certificates of compliance must be sent electronically with the bid. 

Firm Quantity: 1110 pairs for delivery within 12 months from contract award. 

Option Quantities
Option 1 - up to maximum of 2,000 pairs may be exercised within 13 to 24 months from contract award
Option 2 - up to maximum of 2,000 pairs may be exercised within 25 to 36 months from contract award.
Option 3 - up to maximum of 2,000 pairs may be exercised within 37 to 48 months from contract award. 

As and When Quantities
Minimum 500 up to maximum 2000 pairs for delivery to Laval, Quebec. A size roll will be provided at time of the order.
The period for placing ‘as and when requested’ orders will be within 48 months from contract award.

Period of the Contract: The contract period will be for an initial period of one 1 year from the date of the contract, with the option to extend the term of the contract by up to three (3) additional one (1) year periods under the same terms and conditions.

Trade Agreements: The requirement is subject to the provisions of the:
• Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Corcan is exempt from International trade agreements due to purchase for prison.

The Canadian Content Policy:  Does not apply to this requirement.

Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business (PSAB):  Does not apply to this requirement.

Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement (CLCA): The Comprehensive Land Claims Agreements do not apply since there are no deliveries in the land claim settlement areas (as per Supply Manual Chapter 9, Article 9.35).

Transition Cost: There is no transition cost associated with this procurement.

Financial Warranty: In accordance with the RFP terms, a contract security is required of the Contractor within 10 calendar days of the date of the Contract. (10% of the contract price in the form of an irrevocable standby letter of credit). 

Debriefings: Bidders may request a debriefing on the results of the bid solicitation process. Bidders should make the request to the Contracting Authority within fifteen (15) working days from receipt of the results of the bid solicitation process. The debriefing may be provided in writing, by telephone or in person.
