    Requirement:
    The Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement for
    Coveralls, Firefighters, Flame Resistant, Aramid /FR Viscose,
    CADPAT TW & CADPAT AR in accordance with the Manufacturing Data
    DSSPM 2-6-87-3035 dated 10 December 2012 including the
    deviations dated 22 April 2014, the Design Data List
    DDL-8486-137624, the drawings and sealed patterns.  The sealed
    patterns constitute the standard in regards to any properties
    not specified in the Manufacturing Data. The Manufacturing Data
    takes precedence over the sealed patterns
    
    Technical Data:
    The bidder must contact the Contracting Authority to obtain the
    technical data not provided with the bid solicitation documents.
    It is imperative that this request be done as soon as possible
    to ensure timely receipt of the associated technical data.
    Notwithstanding the above, Canada must not be held responsible
    for untimely release of the technical data, since the Technical
    Data Package, as well as the sealed patterns are available for
    viewing at the following Department of Publics Works and
    Government Services Regional Offices:  Montreal, QUÉ; Québec,
    QUÉ; Mississauga, ON; Winnipeg, MB; Edmonton, ALTA. and
    Vancouver, BC, and at DND, Gatineau Quebec.
    
    Firm Quantity
    Item 1 - quantity 1,294 ea
    NSN 8415-20-007-3035 A/A  Coveralls, Firefighters, Flame
    Resistant, Aramid / FR Viscose, CADPAT TW, Type I (various
    regular sizes). 
    
    Item 2 - quantity 340 ea
    NSN 8415-20-007-3058 A/A  Coveralls, Firefighters, Flame
    Resistant, Aramid / FR Viscose, CADPAT AR, Type II (various
    regular sizes). 
    
    Estimated Quantity:
    The requirement also includes an estimated quantity for special
    sizes to be ordered on an "as & when requested" basis.  The
    estimated quantity is for a total of 75 units distributed
    amongst CADPAT TW & AR.  Delivery of special sizes may be at
    various destinations across Canada.
    
    The estimated quantity (special sizes) may be ordered by DND on
    an "as & when requested" basis for a period of 36 months from
    the effective date of the contract.  Special size is defined as
    those sizes outside the realm of the scale of measurements.
    
    Options:
    This requirement also includes two (2) options to purchase an
    additional quantity as follows:
    
    Option 1:  for a maximum of 1,634 units exercisable for a period
    of 12 months from the date of contract award. 
    
    Option 2:  for a maximum of 1,634 units exercisable for a period
    of 36 months from the date of contract award.
    
    Delivery:
    is requested that delivery of the firm quantity be complete by
    March 31, 2015.  The firm quantity is to be delivered to the
    Canadian Forces Supply Depots in Edmonton, Alberta and Montreal,
    Quebec.  The delivery of the estimated quantity (special sizes)
    must be made within 60 calendar days from receipt of the order
    document.  Special sizes may be delivered to various
    destinations across Canada.
    
    Pre-Award Sample
    Pre-award samples and laboratory test results may be requested
    after bid closing.
    
    Paper Patterns
    The paper pattern for size 7040 will be provided to the bidders
    for the production of the pre-award sample.  DND will provide
    paper patterns for all sizes for the production. Paper patterns
    for special size garments is the responsibility of the
    Contractor.
    
    Canadian Content Policy
    This requirement is subject to the Canadian Content Policy and
    is solely limited to Canadian origin goods.
