    REQUIREMENT:
    The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has a requirement for Shirts, Duty, Long Sleeve and Short Sleeve.  The shirts must be manufactured in accordance with the RCMP Specification G.S.1045-289 dated January 27, 2016 and the viewing samples.
    
    FIRM QUANTITY:
    Item 1 - Shirt, LS - 12,706 units
    Item 2 - Shirt, SS - 11,478 units
    
    It is requested that the first shipment be made within 45 calendar days from the date of the written notice of approval of the pre-production samples and receipt of the Government Available Material (GAM) and that delivery be complete by October 31, 2016..
    
    ESTIMATED QUANTITY ("AS AND WHEN REQUESTED):
    Item 3 - Shirt, LS (Regular sizes) -estimated quantity 5,000 units
    Item 4 - Shirt, SS (Regular sizes) - estimated quantity 5,000 units
    Item 5 - Shirt, LS (Special sizes) - estimated quantity 700 units
    Item 6 - Shirt, SS (Special sizes)  - estimated quantity 600 units
    
    The estimated quantities may be ordered on an "as & when requested" basis by the RCMP for a period of 48 months from the effective date of the contract.  Special size is defined as those sizes outside the realm of the scale of measurements.
    
    Delivery of the "as & when requested" quantities for regular sizes is requested within 45 calendar days from the date of the written notice of approval of the "as & when requested" quantity sample.
    
    Delivery of the "as & when requested" quantities for special sizes is requested within 45 calendar days from receipt of the order document.
    
    OPTIONS
    This requirement also includes three (3) options to purchase an additional quantity as follows:
    
    Option 1: exercisable for a period of 12 months from the date of the contract award.
    Item 7, Shirt, LS -  for a maximum of 10,000 units
    Item 8, Shirt, SS - for a maximum of 10,000 units
    
    Option 2: exercisable for a period of 24 months from the date of the contract award.
    Item 9 - Shirt, LS - for a maximum of 10,000 units
    Item 10 - Shirt, SS - for a maximum of 10,000 units
    
    Option 3: exercisable for a period of 36 months from the date of the contract award.
    Item 11 - Shirt, LS - for a maximum of 10,000 units
    Item 12 - Shirt, SS - for a maximum of 10,000 units
    
    PRE-AWARD SAMPLE AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION 
    A pre-award sample of each item andCertificates of Compliance may be requested after bid closing.
    
    VIEWING SAMPLES
    RCMP viewing samples will be provided to bidders who are requested to provide a pre-award sample.  The viewing samples must be used for guidance of themanufacturer in allfactors not covered by the specification.  Variation from the specification may appear in the samples in which case the specification shall govern.
    
    GOVERNMENT AVAILABLE MATERIAL (GAM)
    The following Government Available Material (GAM) is required forthe manufacture of these items and must be purchased from the RCMP.
    
    9130-000 Cloth, Polyester/Cotton, Colour Grey, 145 g/m2, 152 cm wide @ $4.00/m
    2135-108 Badge, Shoulder, Police @ $0.31 each (2 badges per shirt)
