    REQUIREMENT
    Public Services and Procurement Canada, Events & Conference Management has a requirement for Carpet Runners, Ceremonial Red. 
    
    FIRM QUANTITY
    1,000 feet, 6 feet wide
    
    The carpet must be in accordance with:
    
    SHAW, CUSTOM BAYTOWNE II, 36 EPBL 1000 4S839 or equivalent.
    
    - Carpet to be cut 6 feet wide and bound on both sides with ¾" wide binding tape. Colour of the binding to coordinate with the red ceremonial carpet. Dodge Custom Carpets in Lakefield, Ontario has been known to meet this requirement.
    
    - Roll sizes to be 100 feet each without cross seams
    
    - Colour:  Ceremonial Red, Custom Colour # 4S839
    - Product Width:  3.66 m
    - Primary Backing:  Synthetic
    
    - Backing system is Eco Worx PB 100% thermoplastic polyolefin compound with a high performance precoat and a reinforcing layer.  Weight: 1322 g/m2 - Width 3.66m.
    
    The runners are installed using double-sided tape, therefore the backing must be sufficiently resistant and appropriately attached to the carpet so that it does not become detached when the tape is removed from the carpet.
    
    - Finished Pile Height for the runners is 5.59 mm
    - Pile thickness:  5.59 mm
    - Fibre/Material to be 100% Nylon
    - Tuff weight:  1,220.61 g/m2
    - Gauge:  39.37 per 10 cm
    - Stitches:  39.37 per 10 cm
    - Dye Method:  Piece Dyed
    - Density:  10.97 kilotex
    
    
    MANDATORY DELIVERY
    All deliverables must be received by May 28, 2018.
    
    CONTRACT FINANCIAL SECURITY
    If bid is accepted, the Bidder will be required to provide contract financial security in the amount of up to ten percent (10%) of the contract price after contract award and within five (5) calendar days from the date of the contract award.
    
    PRE-AWARD SAMPLE (SWATCH OF THE CARPET) 
    A swatch of the carpet must be provided with the bid.  The swatch must be submitted in the requested colour (Ceremonial Red), Size 6"x 6" and must be received on before the bid closing date and time.
