    This Amendment is raised to advise that the closing date has
    been extended to 13-November-2012

    Requirement: 
    To provide the Parliamentary Princinct Branch (PPB) of the
    Department of Public Works and Government Services with the
    National Flag of Canada in various sizes in accordance with the
    Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) Standard
    CAN/CGSB-98.1-2011.
    
    A pre-award sample of Items 1, 1, 2, 5 and 6 and test results in
    accordance with Specification CGSB Standard CAN/CGSB-98.1-2011
    must be included with the bid.
    
    
    Firm Quantities: 
    This requirement is for a firm quantity of 811 flags to be
    delivered at various times throughout the year (schedule
    detailed in the Request for Proposal  i.e. the 15th day of the
    month commencing January 2013).
    
    "As and When Requested" quantities:  
    The estimated quantity of 30 flags may be ordered on an "as and
    when requested" basis from the contract award date up to March
    31/2016.
    
    Canada has the right to purchase optional quantities as follows:
     
    Up to a total maximum of 684 units for each option year.   The
    option may be exercised in whole or in part.
    
    Option 1: 
    Is for an estimated maximum of 684 flags. The option may be
    exercised between September 1/2013 and December 15, 2013 (for
    deliveries between April 15/2014 and March 31/2015).  One
    amendment may be issued to exercise option 1.
    
    Option 2:
    Is for an estimated maximum of 684 flags. The option may be
    exercised between September 1/2014 and December 15, 2014 (for
    deliveries between April 15/2015 and March 31/2016).  One
    amendment may be issued to exercise option 2.
    
    If a bid is accepted, the Bidder may be required to provide
    contract financial security, after the bid closing date and
    within 10 calendar days from receipt of a written request from
    the Contracting Authority.

    The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
    procurement.
    
    Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
