Trade Agreement: NONE Tendering Procedures: Attachment: None Competitive Procurement Strategy: N/A - P&A/LOI Only Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Thorough Decontamination System W8476-123653/A Karen Anderson Telephone No. - (819) 956-5496 Fax No. - (819) 956-3814 The Canadian Forces CBRN Decontamination System (CFCBRNDS) project is considering an updated procurement strategy to procure the decontaminant and dissemination equipment. The project would like industry input into this proposed strategy prior to making their final decision. Procurement Strategy The proposed strategy seeks one prime contractor to provide a complete Decontamination System, comprising both the chemical and biological (CB) decontaminant and the disseminating equipment. Any CB decontaminant may be proposed provided that the bidder can demonstrate its efficacy meets or exceeds specified mandatory performance through test reports that meet specified verification requirements. While the project had previously qualified four (4) decontaminants in Phase 1, DND will no longer use the list of qualified decontaminants. Decontaminant will be evaluated as part of a complete Decontamination System. DND will accept laboratory tests reports of those four decontaminants to support their efficacy claims, if applicable. Test reports will have to be provided as part of the proposal. Attached for your information are the following documents: 1) Outline Statement of Work (Annex A) 2) Outline Equipment Specifications (Appendix 1 to Annex A) 3) Outline Decontaminant Specifications (Appendix 2 to Annex A) Questions for Industry 1) Can industry provide a decontamination system using a CB decontaminant that meets mandatory efficacy performance? 2) Would industry be prepared for a Winter 2013 single RFP release to provide a decontamination system with a CB decontaminant that meets mandatory efficacy performance?" 3) Would industry be able to provide the necessary CB Decontaminant efficacy test reports as part of a response to the RFP? Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
