Description
Trade Agreement: WTO-AGP/NAFTA/AIT/Canada FTAs with Peru/Colombia/Panama Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Attachment: None Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY MASS SPECTROMETER SYSTEM (LC-MS/MS) 01E86-150369/A Martins, Christina Telephone No. - (819) 956-6911 Fax No. - (819) 956-3814 Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has a requirement for the supply, installation, training, manuals and software updates for one (1) Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometer System (LC-MS/MS). Metabolomics projects cannot be delivered without mass spectrometry. MS is more sensitive and specific than other analytical techniques and thus can identify ppb levels in small samples often of very complex matrices, without the requirement for authentic standards. The LC-MS/MS is required for the screening, identification and quantitation of plant and fungal metabolites, organic and inorganic pollutants, natural products, toxins and soil constituents in support of the Emerging Toxins Network, Genomics, Biosystematics, Crop Production and Environment research projects at ECORC. The LC-MS/MS will be used in the identification of previously uncharacterized compounds and to confirm the identity of compounds identified by other analytical techniques. The LC-MS/MS will be used for trace quantitation in complex matrices (plant, soil) and for identification of compounds for which no reference materials are available. The LC-MS/MS must present the best tools for structural elucidation including high mass resolution and accuracy, accurate quantitation, multiple fragmentation stages and appropriate software. UHPLC is identified as the primary separation device in order to reduce sample time, increase throughput and minimize the use of solvents. The LC-MS/MS must be sufficiently robust to serve a variety of programs and research streams, with ease of use and minimum down time. Delivery will be made to Agriculture Agri-Food Canada, Ottawa, Ontario and must be received on or before March 31, 2015. The Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometer System must meet all the mandatory technical requirements stated in the RFP as attached in Annex A. Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
