Natural Resources Canada - CanmetENERGY-Ottawa (CE-O) - Buildings and Renewables Group (BRG), has a requirement for the supply and delivery of suitable laboratory equipment for measuring the thermal conductivity of thermal energy storage materials (TCMs) developed at CE-O.  The  developed TCM will primarily be solids tested in powder form (< 10 micron), and shaped granules (1 - 2.5 mm); however, the thermal conductivity properties of liquid and solid phase change materials will also be characterized. The thermal conductivity of the TCM are anticipated to be in the range of 0.005 to 5 W/m·K or thermal diffusivity in the range of 0.05 to 50 mm2/s.  The Thermal Conductivity Measurement equipment must work and operate at all times in accordance with the mandatory technical specifications and the mandatory evaluation criteria as specified in Annex A of the Request for Proposal and includes delivery, manuals, warranty and training (either onsite or virtually). 

Bids will be assessed against mandatory requirements and point-rated criteria. The responsive bid with the highest combined rating of technical merit and price within the maximum budget, will be recommended for award of a contract.

Delivery to Ottawa, ON is mandatory on or before March 31, 2022.
