    Public Works and Government Services on behalf of RCMP H
    Division has a requirement to supply and install a blast door.
    Work on this contract consists of the manufacturers design,
    fabrication and installation of a new blast resisting steel door
    and frame in an existing opening at the new RCMP H Division
    Headquarters building located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia..
    
    The work includes but not limited to the following:
    
    1. The possible relocation of pre-existing electrical controls
    end devices, depending upon the impact of the installation works
    on the wall surfaces surrounding the opening;
    
    2. The making good of wall finishes surrounding the completed
    door and frame;
    
    3. All necessary temporary works required to install the door
    including means of manoeuvring and lifting the door and frame
    into the finished location.
    
    There is a security requirement associated with this
    requirement. For additional information consult Part 6 -
    Security Requirement and Part 7 - Resulting Contract Clauses .
    Access to the site is restricted by Security Protocols defined
    in Section 01 35 54 of the Specification.
    
    There will be no opportunity to visit the site prior to bidding
    or award. It is recommended that bidders review the drawings and
    specification (drawings and specification are on CD and must be
    requested - see below) carefully in order to verify the form,
    nature and extent of the work, materials needed, the means of
    access and temporary facilities required to perform the work.
    Clarifications to questioned raised by bidders will be made
    available through the bidding process in the form of amendments.
    All questions raised will be responded to an open basis and to
    all bidders.
