    Deck Replacement Wharf 402 - Big Bras d’Or
    
    *** THERE IS NO SITE VISIT PERTAINING TO THIS TENDER***
    
    Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement toaward a contract for a deck replacement of wharf 402 in Big Bras d’Or, Nova Scotia.  The work consist of but is not limited to:  
    
    Demolition and removal of existing wharf timber deck, wheel guards, longitudinal stringers, timber fenders, facing boards, and ladders as identified. Rotted members are also to be removed and replaced.
    
    Construction of a new reinforced concrete wharf deck, with new timber facing and fenders, and new ladders and cleats, to the limits as indicated on drawings.  
    
    Supplyand install new rock ballast and Type 1 fill before constructing the concrete slab, as indicated on drawings.
    
    The work shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC ProjectNumber R.077583.001 forming part of the bid document. The Contractor shall complete the work by October 30, 2016.
    
    New measures related to integrity provisions included in the solicitation documents requires attention. A public bid opening will be held at the Public Works and Government Services, 1713 Bedford Row, Halifax, Nova Scotia, B3J 3C9 
    
    The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: $251,000. To $500,000.  (HST extra). Standard bid and contract security for construction is required.
