THIS NOTICE AMENDMENT IS TO EXTEND THE CLOSING DATE TO SEPTEMBER 30 2016 @ 1400HRS


Public Works & Government Services Canada has a requirement for the installation of infrastructure associated with an upgraded storm water management system located in the service area along the north side of the Canso Canal in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.  The work generally includes:

1. Removal of existing infrastructure (asphalt pavement and other infrastructure as indicated)
2. Installation of storm water pipes and structures
3. Installation of an infiltration trench along the existing trail
4. Re-paving of selectareas

Site Visit

Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit the site and its surroundings to review and verify the form, nature, and extent of the work, materials needed for the completion of the work, the means of access to thesite, severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid.No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account or error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply.
