EC015-152406/A Doucet, Gisele PWB Telephone No. - (506) 636-4541 ( ) Fax No. - (506) 636-4376 Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement for the following: 1. To provide removal of the existing roofing system in areas noted in the contract document, which comprise of an inverted membrane roofing system, and provide temporary water tightness during the deconstruction. 2. To provide new 2-ply modified bituminous roofing; with all necessary tie-ins to adjacent roofing surfaces, tie-ins and flashings to adjacent walls, etc. 3. To provide new parapets and equipment bases as noted on the drawings. 4. Penthouses: (a) Both penthouses noted on the roof plan are to be demolished. One penthouse is to be rebuilt again. (b) The existing stone work is to be carefully removed, palletized and removed from the roof and stored. (c) Provide new structure and re-use the existing stone to replicate the original penthouse. (d) Provide all mechanical and electrical components required. 5. To provide all mechanical and electrical for the roofing replacement as noted. 6. Elevators: (a) One currently operational elevator is to be temporarily removed from service and disconnected prior to demolition work starting. This elevator is to be reconnected and re-inspected on completion of rebuilding work. (b) One (not currently operational) elevator is to be permanently lowered to basement level, counterweights and cables are to be removed and lifting motor and machinery is to be dismantled and removed. The location of the work is the Government of Canada Building, 1045 Main Street, Moncton, New Brunswick. All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Number R.063297.001 forming part of the bid document. The work is to be completed within twenty-five (25) weeks from contract award. OPTIONAL SITE VISIT There will be an optional site visit on April 28, 2015 at 13:00 hours. All interested bidders are to meet at the main lobby of the Government of Canada Building, 1045 Main Street, Moncton, New Brunswick. Although not mandatory, all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the work. It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the Work required and the existing conditions. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation. Please note that this will be the only site visit for this project. No other site visits will be arranged during the tender period. New measures related to Code of Conduct and certifications included in the solicitation documents requires attention. A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit, Room 405, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: $1,000,001 - $2,500,000 (HST included).
