    Work under this contract consists of conservation work to the heritage stone masonry at Administration Building ‘A1’ at Dorchester Penitentiary. The work is generally described as follows:
    .1 Repointing of stone masonry walls.
    .2 Repairs to damaged stone units.
    .3 Installation of replacement stone units.
    .4 Removal of existing caulking around openings and replacement
    with new caulking.
    .5 Installation of new water deviators and new metal flashings at roof
    level as indicated on drawings.
    .6 Cleaning of historic stone units.
    All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for Project Number: R.061890.001 forming part of the bid document.
    The estimate for this opportunity is within the following cost category:  $2,500,001 - $3,000,000 (HST extra).
    
    Bids are submitted following a two-envelope procedure in which Bidders submit the technical component of their bid in one envelope and the proposed price in a second envelope.
    
    The Contractor shall perform and complete the work by March 31, 2017.
     
    New measures related to integrity provisions included in the solicitation documents requires attention.
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
    
    There will be a site visit on August 9, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Interested bidders are to meet at building A1 of the Dorchester Penitentiary, Dorchester, New Brunswick.
    
    A CPIC will not be required for the site visit, however, in order to attend you MUST submit your name and company information to the contracting officer by e-mail at alison.ellis-herring@pwgsc.gc.ca or by fax at (506) 636-4376 by no later than 10:00am  August 5, 2016. Names received after this time may not be allowed on site by CSC.

Inquiries are to be made in writing and shouldbe received no less than five (5) calendardays prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond.  Inquiries are to be made in accordance with SI02 - Enquiries during the Solicitation Period, under Special Instructions to Bidders in thesolicitation document.
    
    Standard bid and contract security for construction is required.
