    Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement for the replacement of three (3) existing security barriers complete with equipment and hardware as indicated in the specifications and drawings at the Springhill Institution in Springhill, Nova Scotia.  The work shall include but is not limited to the supply and installation of all products, services, labour, materials and equipment required to complete the project.
    
    All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for Project Number R.061884.01 forming part of the bid document.
    
    The Contractor shall perform and complete the work within 12 weeks of award of contract.
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:
    
    It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the Work required and the existing conditions.  There will be an optional site visit on July 25, 2016 at 10:00 am.  All interested bidders are to meet at the main entrance of the Springhill Institution, Springhill, Nova Scotia.  Although not mandatory, all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the work.  Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation. 
    
    There is a security clearance required to attend the site visit.  ALL interested bidders, regardless of current clearance level, must submit the Institutional Access CPIC Clearance request form and submit to Lisa Martin by fax at (506) 851-6759 or e-mail to: lisa.m.martin@pwgsc.gc.ca. The CPIC form must be received by 2:00 pm, July 12, 2016. 
    
    Note: If you plan to attend the site visit, please confirm your attendance to Lisa Martin by e-mail at lisa.m.martin@pwgsc.gc.ca or by fax at (506) 851-6759 by no later than 2:00 pm on July 12, 2016.  If you do not confirm your attendance, you will not be permitted tovisit the site.  If you plan to bring a camera to the visit, you must also provide, make, model, and serial number of camera by this date.
    
    The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: $250,001.00 - $500,000.00 (HST included).
