Public Works and Government Services Canada has requirement for the removal of existing fibre cement siding and installation of metal cladding.  The work includes protection of existing landscape and existing roofing, provide scaffolding/equipment as needed to reach all areas of removal and installation from flat or sloped roofs and disposal of all materials removed.  All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Number R.082678.001 forming part of the bid document. The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within twenty (20) weeks after award.

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the Work required and the existing conditions.  There will be an optional site visit on September 15, 2016 at 1:00 pm.  St. Andrews Biological Station, 531 Brandy Cove Road, St. Andrews, New Brunswick E5B 2L9.  Although not mandatory, all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the work. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

New measures related to Integrity provisions included in the solicitation documents requires attention.

The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following cost category: $500,001 to $1,000,000 (HST extra). Standard bid and contract security for the construction is required.

A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit, Room 405, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B.
