Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Mechanical System Upgrades - Building #12, Springhill Institution, Springhill, Nova Scotia EC016-180451/A Johnston, Edward PWB Telephone No. - (506) 636-4416 Fax No. - (506) 636-4376 Public Works and Government Services Canada has requirement for the removal, disposal and replacement of air handling unit #1, Building #12 located at the Springhill Institution, Springhill, NS. The work to be done shall include all labour, materials and equipment necessary to complete the following: • Remove and dispose of existing AHU#1 and existing roof top condenser unit. • Reinstate and make weather tight all abandoned roof penetrations and unit structural connections. • Remove existing ductwork where indicated. • Provide new and resized ductwork as indicated. • Provide temporary, portable, ventilation and air conditioning systems. • Supply and install new built-up AHU#1 and new outdoor compressor/condenser air conditioning unit. • Provide all plumbing modifications, controls modifications and electrical connections as indicated. All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Number R.086243.001 forming part of the bid document. The Contractor shall complete the work within eighteen (18) weeks of award. There will be a site visit on July 13, 2017 at 10:00 hours. All interested bidders are to meet at the Main Entrance of the Springhill Institution, Springhill, Nova Scotia. There is a security clearance required to attend this site visit. ALL interested bidders, regardless of current clearance level, must submit the Institutional Access CPIC Clearance request form located in Annex D of this solicitation document. With the CPIC, bidders must also provide a copy of an official form of photo identification such as a driver’s license or passport. These must submitted to Edward Johnston by fax at (506) 636-4376 or e-mail Edward.johnston@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca by 16:00 hours, June 30, 2017. No cameras or cell phones will be allowed on the site. New measures related to Integrity provisions included in the solicitation documents requires attention. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following cost category: $100,001 to $250,000 (HST extra). Standard bid and contract security for the construction is required. A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit, Room 405, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B. Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond. Inquiries are to be made in accordance with S103 - Enquiries During The Solicitation Period, under Special Instructions To Bidders in the solicitation document. Standard bid and contract security for construction is required. Firm intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain tender documents through the Government Electronic Tendering System (GETS). Addenda, when issued, will be available on GETS. Standard terms and conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference, and form part of the tender and contract documents.
