Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Grounds Remediation - Dorchester Penitentiary, Dorchester, New Brunswick EC016-180618/A Johnston, Edward PWB Telephone No. - (506) 636-4416 Fax No. - (506) 636-4376 Public Works and Government Services Canada has requirement for grounds improvements including grading, paving, curb, gutter, sidewalk and storm drain work at the minimum and medium sectors located at the Dorchester Penitentiary, Dorchester, NB. The work to be done shall include all labour, materials and equipment necessaryto complete the following: • Excavating, milling and pulverizing of asphalt, backfilling, shaping, grad ing and compacting all as required to produce required finished grades, ditches and paved surfaces as indicated on the drawings. • Replacement of existing catchbasin structures as indicated on the drawings. Adjusting existing catchbasin frame, manhole frame and water valve cover structures to match proposed finished grades. • Resurfacing of existing asphalt. • Replacement of existing concrete curbs as indicated on the drawings. • Installation of new catchbasin structures as indicated on the drawings. Replacement of existing culverts as indicated on the drawin gs. • Landscaping works including supply and placement of topsoil and sod in disturbed areas around the above work. All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Number R.084129.001 forming part of th e bid document. The Contractor shall complete the work within fifteen (15) weeks of award. There will be a site visit on August 02, 2017 at 10:00 hours. All interested bidders are to meet at the Main Entrance of the Dorchester Penitentiary, Dorchester, New Brunswick. There is a security clearance required to attend this site visit. ALL interested bidders, regardless of current clearance level, must submit the Institutional Access CPIC Clearance request form located in Annex D of thi s solicitation document. With the CPIC, bidders must also provide a copy of an official form of photo identification such as a driver’s license or passport. These must submitted to Edward Johnston by fax at (506) 636-4376 or e-mail Edward.johnston@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca by 16:00 hours, July 12, 2017. No cameras or cell phones will be allowed on the site. New measures related to Integrity provisions included in the solicitation documents requires attention. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following cost category: $1,000,001 to $1,500,000 (HST extra). Standard bid and contract security for the construction is required. A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit, Room 405, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B. Standard bid and contract security for construction is required. Firm intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain tender documents through the Government Electronic Tendering System (GETS). Addenda, when issued, will be available on GETS. Standard terms and conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference, and form part of the tender and contract documents. The standard documents are issued by Public Works and Government Services and may be viewed at buyandsell.gc.ca.
