    New Food Storage Freezers - Dorchester Penitentiary Medium
    Security Sector, Atlantic Institution & Springhill Institution
    
    Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has a
    requirement for new food storage freezers at the Dorchester
    Penitentiary Medium Security Sector, Dorchester, N.B., the
    Atlantic Institution, Renous, N.B. & the Springhill Institution,
    Springhill, N.S. In general the work includes, but is not
    limited to, the following: The supply and installation of food
    storage freezers/coolers, equipment and related services which
    includes mechanical and electrical services. All work is to be
    performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for
    PWGSC Project Number R.061844.001 forming part of the bid
    document. The contract completion is November 30, 2014.
    
    It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
    Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the Work
    required and the existing conditions. There will be an optional
    site visit at the Atlantic Institution on August 7, 2014 at
    10:30 am. All interested bidders are to meet at  the main
    entrance of the Atlantic Institution, Renous, New Brunswick.
    There will be an optional site visit at the Springhill
    Institution on August 6, 2014 at 9:30 am. All interested bidders
    are to meet at  the main entrance of the Springhill Institution,
    Springhill, Nova Scotia. There will be an optional site visit at
    the Dorchester Penitentiary, Medium Security Sector on August 6,
    2014 at 1:30 pm. All interested bidders are to meet at  the main
    entrance of the Dorchester Penitentiary, Medium Security Sector,
    Dorchester, New Brunswick. Although not mandatory, all
    contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are
    encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the
    work. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation
    resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment
    to the bid solicitation. Please note that there is a security
    clearance required for this site visit. ALL interested bidders,
    regardless of current clearance level, must submit the
    Institution Access CPIC Clearance request form attached as Annex
    C  of the Invitation to Tender document by 4:00 pm July 17,
    2014. Please submit one form for each Institution.
    New measures related to Code of Conduct and certifications
    included in the solicitation documents requires attention. 
    A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit,
    Room 421, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B. 
    The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following
    category: $250,001 - $500,000 (HST extra). Standard bid and
    contract security for construction is required.

    Bidders in the solicitation document. Standard bid and contract
    security for construction is required.

    incorporated by reference, and form part of the tender and
