NOTICE OF OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
 
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the Work required and the existing conditions.  

There will be an optional site visit July 7, 2017 at 9:30am.  All interested bidders are to meet at the main entrance of the Joseph A. Ghiz Building, 275 Pope Road, Summerside, PEI.  

Although not mandatory, all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the work. Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority 1 day before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend.  Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form.  Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid.

Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.  Please note that this will be the only site visit for this project.  No other site visits will be arranged during the tender period.

Public Services and Procurement Canada has a requirement for a contract which consists of the following:

The description of the work includes but is not limited to, replacing the roofing system in four penthouses by removing  existing modified bitumen roof system down to steel deck, Install new modified bitumen roof assembly as detailed and as specified, Note, no internal building access will be permitted. Therefore, the work will also include Construct a temporary exterior scaffold access and temporary fenced enclosure.
The Contractor shall perform and complete the work within 9 weeks from the date of award.

All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for PSPC Project Number R.087315.001 forming part of the bid document.  The estimate for this opportunity is within the following cost category:  $250,000 to $500,000.
