Tenderers should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1) contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized directory structure. Public Works and Government Services Canada, has a requirement for a contract that consists of but not be limited to the following: Hazardous Material Abatement and demolition of buildings 26 (civic No. 70), 29 (Civic No 46), and 30 (Civic No. 42) to 30 mm below grade and reinstatement of topsoil and seed. Site of Work is at: AAFC Research Centre, 440 University Avenue, Queens County, Prince Edward Island Completion of the work is 4 weeks from award. All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Number R.058772.001 forming part of the bid document. The estimate for this opportunity is within the following cost category: $100,001 to $250,000 Inquiries: All inquiries of a technical nature and all questions of a contractual nature are to be submitted in writing to the contractual authority: Anne MacDonald, telephone 902-626-4949, facsimile 902-566-7514 and e-mail anne.macdonald@pwgsc.gc.ca Standard bid and contract security for construction is required. Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain tender documents through the MERX services provider. Addenda, when issued, will be available from the MERX provider. Firms that elect to base their bids on tender documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the tender calling authority of their intention to bid. Standard terms and conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference, and form part of the tender and contract documents. The standard documents are issued by Public Works and Government Services and may be viewed on the MERX electronic bulletin board as part of the information module. "IMPORTANT NOTICE: New measures related to Code of Conduct and certifications included in the solicitation documents requires attention." Under the Code of Conduct and Certification provisions, (refer to G101 of R2710), Bidders must submit the following as part of their bid: - a complete list of names of all individuals who are currently directors of the Bidder; It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site and examine the scope of the Work required and the existing conditions. Arrangements have been made for a tour of the work site. The site visit will be held on October 10, 2012 at 10 a.m., and bidders are to communicate with the Contracting Authority prior to the visit to confirm attendance. Bidders that do not attend are not precluded from submitting a bid. Bidders are to provide the Contracting Authority with the names of their representatives no later than 2 days prior to the scheduled site visit. The person conducting the site visit will have an attendance form which is to be signed by the Bidder's representative(s) in attendance. Bidders are advised that any clarifications or changes resulting from the site visit shall be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation document.
