    Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement for the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and materials for wharf reconstruction as detailed in the tender drawings and specifications. The works consists of the following:
    1.The work of this contract involves repairs to the south end of wharf structure 407, located at North Rustico Harbour, Queens County, Prince Edward Island which includes but is not limited to:
    .1 Excavation behind wharf structure to allow construction of anchor wall and tie rods;
    .2 Removal of existing composite concrete deck, treated pile caps, timber piles, fender,
    wales as indicated, and curbs at location of Work to limits and extents shown on
    plans;
    .3 Dredging and excavation work associated with the wharf reconstruction;
    .4 Provision for treated piles, cast-in-place concrete pile caps and concrete deck, cross
    bracing, wales, fender system, ladders, cleats, curbs, blocking, concrete light bases,
    railing and miscellaneous steel, and miscellaneous work related to the reconstruction
    as specified and where indicated;
    .5 All related site work including asphalt paving, sandstone fill, imported gravel, imported
    rip rap, filter fabric and environmental protection;
    .6 Where applicable, provision for relocation and reinstatement of site services,
    including but not limited to water, drain pipes, electrical, hoist, barricades, etc.
    2. All in accordance with the requirements of these specifications and drawings listed on the Index to Specifications and Drawings, Construction schedule and Time and Order of Completion.
    
    All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Number R.118987.001 forming part of the bid document.  
    The Contractor shall perform and complete the work by December 15, 2022.
    
    The estimate for this opportunity is within the following cost category: $1,000,001 to $5,000,000 (HST included)
    
    *** There will be an optional site visit on June 21,2022 at 10:00 am. 
    
    Although not mandatory, all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the work.
    
    Contractors interested in participating in the site visit are required to register with the Contracting Authority in advance by e-mail at trisha.doucette@pwgsc.gc.ca by no later than 12:00 pm on June 20,2022. .
    
    
    A non-public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit, Sherwood Business Centre, 161 St. Peters Road, 2nd Floor, Suite 204
    Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
