    Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has a requirement for a wharf reconstruction in St. George, Newfoundland and Labrador.
    
    The scope of the work for this project consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material to perform the work.
    
    Work under this Contract will consist of but will not necessarily be limited to the following:
    
    .1 Demolition, removal and disposal of approximately 80 linear meters of timber crib wharf structure.  The timber crib wharf structure consists of a combination of rock ballast and concrete filled cribs as shown on the drawings.  All demolished and excavated materials to be disposed of at approved waste disposal facility.
    
    .2 Construction of a new 73.20m long timber crib (combination of rock and concrete filled) wharf including reinforced concrete deck and reinforced concrete spray wall as outlined on the drawings.
    
    .3 Supply and installation of reinforced Type "A" and Type "B1" mooring cleats, fenders, ladders, wheelguards and wheelguard blocking.
    
    .4 Supply and install three (3) 10.60m long wood light poles c/w new light fixtures.
    
    .5 Supply and installation of two (2) new electrical pedestals, electrical conduit and wiring as noted on the drawings.
    
    .6 Removal and storage of existing armour stone prior to demolition of existing wharf structure. After new wharf is constructed, place existing armour stone including the supply and placement of additional armour stone to achieve the required volume and slopes as indicated on the drawings.
    
    .7 Supply and placement of new 10-tonne armour stone along outside face of the new wharf structure as shown on the drawings.
    
    Bidders must refer to R2710T GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - CONSTRUCTION SERVICES - BID SECURITY REQUIREMENTS (GI) (2021-04-01) for the Integrity Provisions applicable to this requirement.
    
    FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE 
    
    Prior to submitting a bid, it is recommended bidders visit the site to review existing conditions and determine materials needed, the means of access and the temporary facilities required to perform the Work.  
    
    Obtain prior permission from the Departmental Representative before carrying out site inspection. 
    
    Any omissions from contractor bid as a result of not performing site visit shall not be considered valid for additions to contract amount.
