The qualification list will expire within 60 days or upon award of a contract in Phase Two, whichever is earlier, and the prequalification list will not be used in any other solicitation. Bids must be submitted using the CPC connect service. The solicitation number must be identified in the CPC Connect message field of all electronic transfers. Further instruction is provided in the Invitation to Qualify document. PROJECT DESCRIPTION Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has a requirement for construction and installation of two floating dock modules for the SAR lifeboat station in Port aux Choix, NL. The work under this project consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material to perform the work. In general, work under this contract will consist of but will not necessarily be limited to, the following: .1 Construction and installation of two treated timber floating dock modules. .2 Removal & disposal of existing floating dock and anchor chains. .3 Removal & reinstatement of gangway. .4 Relocation & levelling of existing concrete anchor blocks. .5 Supply and installation of new anchor chain and concrete sinker blocks. .6 Removal and disposal of any anchor blocks that will not be re-used. FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit the site and its surroundings to review and verify the form, nature and extent of the work, materials necessary for the completion of the works, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account of error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply. Contractors, bidders or those they invite to site are to take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid.
