    John's, NL
    
    Public Works and Government Services Canada requires a Standing
    Offer for General Maintenance Services at Various Locations in
    St. John's, NL.  Work under this Standing Offer will include the
    provision of labour and materials to perform minor repairs and
    maintenance to buildings and building equipment, including
    structural, electrical, mechanical and painting.  Work will take
    place at the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Centre (NAFC) and the
    Correctional Services Canada (CSC) buildings in St. John's, NL.
    
    The term of this Standing Offer will be for two (2) years, on an
    "as and when requested basis."  A Standing Offer is an agreement
    and not a contract.  Canada reserves the right to award to more
    than one contractor.
    
    This requirement contains security clearances.
    
    IMPORTANT NOTE TO BIDDERS:
    
    Offerors are responsible for obtaining copies of solicitation
    forms, special instructions, and specifications which are now
    available directly from the MERX site. Offerors will arrange to
    print the documents they require at a printer of their choice or
    on their own equipment.  Amendments, when issued, will be
    available from the MERX service provider.  It is the
    responsibility of the Offeror to ensure that all amendments
    issued prior to solicitation closing have been obtained and
    addressed in the submitted offer.  
    
    Firms intending to submit offers on this project should obtain
    Request for Standing Offer documents through the MERX services
    provider at http://www.merx.com, referencing the solicitation

    all across Canada.  Firms that elect to base their offers on

    their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the
    Standing Offer Authority of their intention to submit an offer.

    5T2.
    
    Please be advised that revised labour conditions and wage
    schedules apply and are referenced in the solicitation document.
