Trade Agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Attachment: YES (MERX) Electronic Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Wharf Reconstruction - Petty Harbour, NL Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has a requirement for Wharf Reconstruction in Petty Harbour, NL. Work under this project will involve demolition and removal of the existing wharf infrastructure, construction of timber infill cribs to fill existing span areas, and construction of a new treated timber crib marginal wharf with reinforced concrete deck and associated trim. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: Canada will be supplying 1300 pieces of 200 mm x 200 mm x 6.1 m long crib timbers for use on this project. The declared value of this material supplied by Canada is $250,000.00 (HST Extra). This amount shall be added to the contract value when determining the amount of insurance required under the Builder's Risk/Installation Floater coverage. Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit the site and its surroundings to review and verify the form, nature, and extent of the work, materials necessary for the completion of the work, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account of error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply. Contractors, bidders, or those they invite to site are to review specification Section 01 35 29 - Health and Safety Requirements - before visiting the site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid. Obtain prior permission from the Departmental Representative before carrying out such site inspection. Bidders must refer to the General Instructions - Construction Services - Bid Security Requirements - R2710T (2015-02-25) for the Integrity Provisions (Code of Conduct and Certification) applicable to this requirement.
