Trade Agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Welding Shop Addition - Buoy Maintenance Facility Canadian Coast Guard (CCG), St. John’s, NL Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has a requirement for the addition of a Welding Shop to the Buoy Maintenance Facility at the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) Southside Base. Currently the Buoy Maintenance Program welding activities are being conducted within the Southside Base Admin Building. With the proposed reconstruction of the Admin Building, the Buoy Maintenance Program will require a new location to accommodate welding activities. A new welding shop is to be constructed as an extension to the southwest corner of the Buoy Maintenance Facility (BMF). The proposed addition will have access to the adjacent yard via an overhead doorand the BMF via the main door. The proposed shop will be equipped with required electrical and mechanical functions to support welding operations. Work will take place at the CCG Atlantic Headquarters, 280 Southside Road, St. John’s, NL. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit the site and its surroundings to review and verify the form, nature, and extent of the work. Please review Specification Section 01 35 29.06 - Health and Safety Requirements - andtake all appropriate safety measures for any site visit, either before or after acceptance of bid.
