Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement for Installation of reinforced concrete pad complete with tie down anchors for Winter storage of new CCG Bay Class Vessels.  Shore power to be installed for heat and power supply to critical electronics equipment.  Re-routing of nearby service wire from above ground to underground, facilitating travel between dock and new storage area.

FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE

Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit the site and its surroundings, at their own expense to make assessment of existing site conditions, the facilities in the area, the severity, exposure and general uncertainty of weather conditions, actual site and soil conditions and any other contingencies.  No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account or error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply. 
Contractors, bidders, or those they invite to site are to review specification section 01 35 29, Health and Safety Requirements before visiting site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid
