    Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement on
    behalf of Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) to supply all
    plant, labour, materials, and equipment for armour stone wharf
    protection at the existing DFO (SCH) wharf facilities at
    Westport, NL .
    
    The scope of work consists of the furnishing of all plant,
    labour, equipment and material for armour stone wharf protection
    at the existing wharf facilities at Westport, in strict
    accordance with the specification and accompanying drawings, and
    subject to the terms and conditions of the contract.
    
    The project work will consist of, but will necessarily be
    limited to the following:
    
    Supply and installation of approximately 2500 cubic metres (m3)
    of rock fill core 
    (0.1 kg - 400 kg) material, 1300 cubic metres (m3) of filter
    stone (400 kg - 600 kg), and 1900 cubic metres (m3) of armour
    stone (4-8 tonne) in area indicated on drawing.
    
    
    SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
    
    Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit
    the site and its surroundings to review and verify the form,
    nature, and extent of the work, materials needed for the
    completion of the work, the means of access to the site,
    severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions,
    any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain
    all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other
    circumstances which may influence or affect their bid.  No
    allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on
    account or error or negligence to properly observe and determine
    the conditions that will apply.
    
    Contractors, bidders, or those they invite to site are to review
    specification Section 01 35 29 - Health and Safety before
    visiting site.  Take all appropriate safety measures for any
    visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid.  Obtain
    prior permission from the Departmental Representative before
    carrying out such site inspection.
    
    Bidders must refer to GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS (GI) - R2710T
    (2014-03-01) for the Code of Conduct and Certification
