    Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement on behalf of Department of Fisheries and Oceans of work that consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment, and material for wharf construction at Change Islands, NL. 
    
    The project work will consist of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following:
     
    • Demolition and removal of theexisting infrastructure, as noted on the drawings. 
    • Remove, store and re-install existing jib crane.
    • Construction of a new treated timber crib wharf with reinforced concrete deck, to the dimensions as indicated on the drawings. 
    • Electrical work, as noted on the drawings.
    • Supply and installation of mooring cleats, mooring rings, structural timber for coping, wheelguard, wheelguard blocking, fenders, ladders and associated hardware for new wharf construction.
    • Road excavation, grading, and supply and installation of granular base as indicated on the drawings. 
    • Harbour dredging adjacent to the new wharf, as noted on the drawings.

    Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that the bidders visit the site to review and verify the form, nature and extent of the work, materials needed and the means of access to the site.  Refer to Specification, General Instructions, 1.5 Familiarization with Site for further details. 
    
    Please review specification Section 01 3529.06 - Health and Safety Requirements before visiting site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site. 
    
    Bidders must refer to General Instructions G2710T (2015-07-03) for the Integrity Provisions (Code of Conduct and Certification) applicable to this requirement.
