Trade Agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Wharf Extension - Bridgeport, NL F6140-165012/A Carey, Mary Telephone No. - (709) 772-4754 Fax No. - (709) 772-4603 Public Works and Government Services Canada on behalf of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans have a requirement that consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for these improvements at Bridgeport, Newfoundland and Labrador, in strict accordance with specifications and accompanying drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract. In general, the work under this contract consists of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following: • Demolition, removal and disposal of various components of existing wharf as identified on drawings. • Supply and install of new rock mattress and scour protection as identified on drawings. • Supply and installation of new treated timber crib wharf extension with reinforced concrete deck, to the dimensions as indicated on the drawings. • Remove and relocate three (3) existing floating docks including gangway, docks, chains and anchors, and all other components to the position as indicated on the drawings. FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE Before submitting a bid, bidders can visit the site and its surroundings, at their own expense, to review and verify the form, nature, and extent of the work, materials needed for the completion of the work, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure, and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies, and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account or error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply. Contractors, bidders, or those they invite to site are to review specification Section 01 35 28 - Health and Safety Requirements before visiting site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid. Bidders must refer to R2710T GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - Construction Services - Bid Security Requirements (2016-04-04) for the Integrity Provisions applicable to this requirement.
