    Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) has a requirement, on behalf of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans for Wharf Reconstruction at St. Phillip’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. The work consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for the wharf reconstruction.
        
    In general, the work under this contract consists of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following:
    
      .1 Demolition and removal of West Finger Pier from Cribs No.1 through 8 in its entirety.
    
      .2 Demolition and removal of East Finger Pier Cribs No. 7, 8, and 9 in their entirety.
    
      .3 Demolition and removal of East Marginal Wharf Cribs No. 4 and 5.
    
      .4 Contractor shall provide temporary support to existing shed 
    during construction of West finger pier.
    
      .5 Demolition and removal of wheelguard in specified areas as indicated.
    
      .6 Supply and install repairs to all undermined areas as indicated.
    
      .7 Supply and install new treated timber cribwork finger pier, including but not limited to timber cribwork, concrete deck, wheelguard, fender systems, and ladders as indicated.
    
      .8 Supply and install new treated timber cribwork at marginal wharf, including but not limited to timber cribwork, timber deck, wheelguard, fenders, and ladders as indicated.
    
      .9 Supply and install new retaining wall as indicated.
    
      .10 Supply and install new scour protection as indicated.
    
      .11 Contractor shall supply and install temporary road support for existing road during demolition and excavation for the existing and new wharf structures.
    
      .12 Contractor to repair all areas that have sink holes along the west retaining wall/parking area.
    
    FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE
    
    Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit the site and its surroundings to review and verify the form, nature, and extent of the work, materials needed for the completion of the work, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure, and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies, and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account or error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply.
    
    Contractors, bidders, or those they invite to site are to review specification Section 01 35 28 - Health and Safety Requirements before visiting site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid. 
    
    Bidders must refer to R2710T (2021-04-01) GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - CONSTRUCTION SERVICES for the Integrity Provisions applicable to this requirement.
